I’ve shared my story about leaving social media to gain clarity and rest. I’ve always had a love-hate relationship with these platforms and I still do. Like all good things, I’ve come to see the value in having a healthy relationship with social media–The connections I can find, the people I can serve, even the inspiration I’ll discover every now and then. But to have any kind of healthy relationship this means there needs to be boundaries.
Boundaries are what enable us to grow slowly and with intention, the way nature intended it to be. I don’t need to be an overnight success. What I want to build is something that lasts. Something that inspires others, takes care of the planet, and is around as long as I want a creative job to pursue.
In my first ever international interview, I talk with Rini Pegka, in Germany, about what slowing down in your life and business can look like. How 5-months away from social media opened new doors for me and helped me discover the business I really wanted to build. And even how I discovered my true self in rebranding my business.
This last year has kind of been a baptism for me in so many ways. I’m learning to move slowly, to build boundaries, and to let myself be me–without the pressure of being what everyone else wants me to be. Listen along to the journey and see what discoveries I’ve found might support your own journey.
