Start Creating Your Calm Space
I Make the Wall art, you create the space that's as unique as you!
At the end of a busy day there is no better place to be than home. In a space that creates inspired rest, grounds you, and makes space to build memories that you’ll have for years to come.
With our growing to-do lists that would make Santa blush, it’s easy to get lost in the hustle of each day and forget to see the magic all around us–The simple light coming through the kitchen window, little hands playing in the soil as new life sprouts up from the earth, or a sleepy puppy closing his eyes on your favorite winged-back chair.
This is what life is all about.
And creating a space that holds these memories and reminds you to be grateful for all that you have isn’t out of reach.
In fact, it’s something you can build upon whenever you feel inspired and Modern Magic makes it easy.
I’m Katie Leigh Jackson, the artist behind Modern Magic. I help women create calm spaces with my art and wallpaper that inspire creativity and rest (“inspired rest,” if you will).
After dealing with burn-out in the 9-5 grind of society’s hustle culture I decided to take a new approach to my work and life.
This led to the discovery of the slow living lifestyle that I immediately fell in love with. Over the course of a few years (and a good therapist) I started to find my old self. You know, the girl I was before the world told me who to be?
In finding her, I rediscovered my passion for art, started a new spiritual journey, and leaned into the ideas of slow living.
From that journey, I started creating art with the illustrative style I had always had but didn’t think was “good enough” for the art world (being enough is often an emotion I battle with, I’m sure you can relate), I learned how to create wallpaper patterns, and I launched Modern Magic as a reminder to find everyday magic.
Now, with my line of original art, art prints, and wallpaper, I help women who are just like me–burnt out and looking for inspiration–create calm spaces that ground, encourage, and connect. It then becomes the perfect place to slow down and do your own healing.
