SOLD – A Mother’s Prayer Original Painting

Soft pastel on paper 18×24

This one-of-a-kind original painting captures the quiet connection between a mother and her child, embraced by a meadow of wildflowers. Inspired by the heartfelt photography of Janessa Parker and her journey to explore her Diné heritage, this piece reflects both the tenderness of motherhood and the deep spiritual ties that connect us to culture, land, and ancestry.

Created with soft, expressive pastels, this original artwork radiates warmth, love, and a sense of belonging. Every brushstroke is a tribute to the strength and beauty of motherhood, as well as the sacred traditions that shape our identities. Whether displayed as a centerpiece or part of a maximalist wall art collection, this painting brings both meaning and serenity to your space.

Looking for a truly special piece? This original painting is perfect for collectors, mothers, and anyone who cherishes the beauty of family and heritage.

Description

This is an original soft pastel painting by Katie Jackson (Hutt). FRAME NOT INCLUDED

Shipped with a backboard, wrapped in a plastic sleeve, and encased in a stiff envelope or tube to ensure that it gets safely to your doorstep.

**To ensure the longevity of your piece please frame right away. Natural light and exposer to air or water are the enemy of artwork. A glass frame (as opposed to plastic) is always preferred. Choose a spot on the wall out of direct sunlight. To ensure your investment holds, I suggest framing with a professional framer or with framebridge who will seal the back of the frame to keep it from getting contaminated with dust, water, or anything else that could damage your painting. Learn more about frames here
