Blue & White Tulips

Gouache on paper

To me, memories are in blue and white (sometimes with a pop of yellow).

This spring bouquet of tulips in a coffee percolator just like my grandfathers, is a reminder of simpler times. To take us back to the summer magic, the magic in a garden, the magic of gathering around a table with a centerpiece pulled from your own yard. Magic doesn’t have to be pulling things out of nothings, or vanishing into thin air, sometimes, it’s the quiet magic that hits us the deepest.
