Since dropping social media as a marketing strategy I’ve had to come up with new ideas to get my business out there and start connecting with my ideal customer. This has taken a bit of brainstorming and patience but slowly, step by step, things are coming together. One of my new favorite ways to share my business is through Podcast interviews. They not only allow me to meet amazing people that I get to chat with for an hour, but I also get to show off my skills and provide as much value to their audience as possible. If I’m lucky, a few of those people might just start following me through my newsletter or get straight to the point and sign up for some 1:1 brand strategy.
It’s been a process that has not only brought more clarity to more potential customers but it’s also bringing more clarity to what I want to talk about, what my business stands for, and the specific ways that I can be helping small businesses. Let’s just say it’s been a great experience all around and already has me feeling for fulfilled than social ever has. (That’s just my experience, social might be working great for you!)
This month I got the privilege to be featured on Jessica Cross’s podcast Marketing off the Mat. In this 40-minute podcast, we cover a lot from what brand strategy is, why you need it, and how it looks for a few example businesses. We also talk a bit about my journey to getting off social media and creating marketing strategies that work for your brand and align with your values. There might even be a few Fixer Upper references too! ( I just can’t help myself).
