Denver Interior Design Photoshoot: Mid-Century Modern Statement Wall
Every Denver Interior Design photoshoot presents its own unique set of challenges and opportunities. Recently, I had the pleasure of collaborating on a photoshoot with Amanda from FORM Studio that showcased a stunning mid-century modern space, with House of Hackney’s botanical wallpaper stealing the show as the focal point of the room.
Photos that Tell a Story
One of the key elements we wanted to highlight in this shoot was the seamless integration of nature into the design. To complement the vibrant botanical wallpaper, we strategically placed an array of plants throughout the room, adding depth and visual interest to the space. The lush greenery served as the perfect accent, enhancing the natural beauty of the wallpaper and bringing the room to life.

Attention to Details
Of course, no photoshoot is complete without a bit of behind-the-scenes magic. We spent quite a lot of time restyling the shelves until they felt just right in the photos, meticulously arranging and rearranging objects to achieve the perfect balance. Turning books around to add more white space allowed us to create breathing room amidst the busy pattern of the wallpaper, ensuring that the shelves didn’t compete for attention with the focal point of the room.

Adjusting The Light
Balancing light was another crucial aspect of the shoot, particularly with the abundance of windows casting natural light into the space. While the natural light added a beautiful, airy quality to the room, it also posed challenges such as glare and harsh shadows. I carefully adjusted our lighting setup to minimize glare and ensure that the true beauty of the design was captured on camera.
In addition to optimizing lighting, I also paid close attention to the composition of each shot, removing unnecessary objects like full shelves of liquor to ensure that the eye could easily move and rest on the focal point of the wall and shelves. By striking the perfect balance between background elements and the main focus of the room, we were able to capture stunning images that showcased the beauty and sophistication of the space.

Denver Interior Design Photography
Overall, this photoshoot was a testament to the power of collaboration and attention to detail in this Denver interior design photoshoot. From balancing light and composition to incorporating nature-inspired elements, every decision was made with the goal of creating images that truly captured the essence of the design and would only add to FORM’s portfolio.
