The biggest appeal to renting an AirBnB is getting the feeling of home, away from home. Like me, future guests will scroll through hundreds of listings to find just the right place for their getaway. While price and location are two of the major factors that will get them to land on your listing, the photos are what sell it in the end. Having captivating images will evoke the essence of home, inviting guests to immerse themselves in the embrace of your mountain or city retreat along the front range. This featured property, nestled Front Range just outside of Kenosha pass, shows what lifestyle Photography can do for a Front Range Airbnb and those seeking to infuse their rentals with the warmth and charm through their photography.

The Enchanting Power of Lifestyle Photography
In the delightful world of short-term rentals, there is a profound secret to success – captivating presentation. Traditional property photos offer a glimpse, but lifestyle photography is the enchanting spell that draws guests into a world of possibilities. These mesmerizing snapshots capture moments of everyday life, where the true essence of your space comes alive, and guests can envision themselves cocooned in its charm.
Real Estate photography has been known for telling little white lies when it comes to the actual size of the space (often depicted with super wide angle lens), but we want to set real expectation and show all the details and beauty of your retreat. That’s where lifestyle photography comes in. Think of these photos as an editorial spread of a magazine highlighting not only the layout of the space but the details that bring it to life and a few scenes that show the space being fully lived in. It’s through these types of photos that we can actually picture ourselves in the space.

Home Styling
As opposed to Interior Design, where a designer helps you knock down walls and create a new space, or interior design, where a designer helps give the space a facelift, a home stylists uses what you have in the space to make the room feel cozy and that it has life. This is done in combination with moving things out of a space (In 2D formats like photography less is always more), or bringing in props to help heighten the story.
In this photoshoot, I brought in some tools from my home including table cloths, flowers, and some cookies and wine to showcase the romantic retreat this AirBnB can be. This can also be done with bringing out the board games you have on hand, highlighting a couple on the couch watching a movie, or creating long exposures with kids running around to show the life that these walls hold.

The Feeling of Home
Creating a sense of belonging is essential to successful rental property marketing. One way to enhance your lifestyle photos before a shoot is to update your mountain retreat with carefully chosen elements that resonate with guests. Warm earthy tones, a variety of textures, and tasteful but unique artwork (Think local artists!) invite visitors to step into a world of comfort and relaxation, miles away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It can even be worth investing in a home decorator before a shoot to help up level the space in a way that will connect with your guests (and allow you to increase your prices too!)

Use Photography to Connect Potential AirBnB Guests
The aim of lifestyle photography is to create an emotional connection with potential guests. With the Denver and Front Range area’s stunning backdrop, your property’s lifestyle photos can exude serenity, encouraging city dwellers to escape to a mountain sanctuary, or highlight the energy and charisma that comes with a city vacation. In this shoot, the well-styled interiors harmonize with the natural beauty outside, conveying an idyllic retreat that promises unforgettable memories.

Make Your Listing Stand Out
Updating your Airbnb or rental property’s photography with lifestyle shots that evoke the feeling of home is a game-changer in the highly competitive short-term rental market. By enlisting the expertise of a design-savvy individual, you can elevate the appeal of your property and make it stand out from the crowd. Embrace the simplicity of photos that tell a compelling story, drawing potential guests into a world of comfort and tranquility. Remember, it’s the emotional connection that will make your property the top choice for visitors exploring the wonders of the Denver and Front Range region.
