Mariachi in Bloom Original Painting

12×16 gouache painting on watercolor artboard.

Created in collaboration with the City of Wheat Ridge for their Plein Air Artist Series, this painting was inspired by the lively energy of a summer concert in the park. As Mariachi America filled Anderson Park with music, I painted—capturing the vibrant spirit of the performance. Though not entirely painted on-site, I combined plein air techniques with reference photos to bring the scene to life.

This original artwork blends the elegance of traditional Mariachi attire with the bold beauty of a colorful wildflower field—an homage to the rich culture of Mexico. Perfect for collectors of music-inspired wall art, this piece brings rhythm, movement, and warmth into any space.

Description

This is an original gouache painting by Katie Jackson (Hutt). FRAME NOT INCLUDED

Shipped with a backboard, wrapped in a plastic sleeve, and encased in a stiff envelope or tube to ensure that it gets safely to your doorstep.

**To ensure the longevity of your piece please frame right away. Natural light and exposer to air or water are the enemy of artwork. A glass frame (as opposed to plastic) is always preferred. Choose a spot on the wall out of direct sunlight. To ensure your investment holds, I suggest framing with a professional framer or with framebridge who will seal the back of the frame to keep it from getting contaminated with dust, water, or anything else that could damage your painting. Learn more about frames here
