Muse In Motion Original

This 16×20 original painting captures the electric energy of Olivia Dean’s Saturday Night Live performance, where her commanding presence and the wash of pink—dress, lighting, stage—created a moment of pure artistic power.

Working with the drip technique I’ve been exploring lately, I let Dean’s elegant silhouette dissolve into cascades of color, as if the music itself were pouring through the canvas. The blending of pinks creates an atmosphere that’s both intimate and monumental, mirroring how it felt to witness her performance.

In the language of archetypes, this piece embodies the Muse—that divine creative force that speaks through artists and calls us to express our deepest truths. On a personal level, it represents the 5th layer of self–voice and authentic expression. Dean’s act of singing becomes a meditation on what it means to own your voice, not just in the literal sense of sound, but in the broader act of creation itself. Every brushstroke here is about the courage it takes to be heard, to be seen, to transform invisible feeling into visible art.

This painting also holds a special place as the first of my works to go viral, connecting with viewers who recognized something essential in its celebration of feminine power and creative expression.

This is a one of a kind 16×20 original Modern Magic painting signed and ready to bring empowered energy into your space.
