I worked on Colfax and York street for 2-years as a marketing manager for Denver Film. To say I know this area would be an understatement, although with how fast Denver is changing, I feel like I know it less and less each year. But I haven’t had the chance to go into many homes around City Park which was why it was so much fun photographing this Denver rental property.
Purchased in December with the hopes of becoming an Airbnb or midterm rental, Bri and her husband took this 1912 Craftsman styled home and turned it into a modern day getaway. From the details in the furniture to making sure parents have all the tools they need to keep the baby happy, this rental has it all and has all the feels of home after a long day of exploring the city.

The Floor Plan
The 3,000 square foot home is broken up into three levels with the basement set up as a whole second apartment, complete with it’s own laundry and kitchen. On the main floor you have a full kitchen and coffee bar, a laundry room, the primary bedroom and bath, a dining room (perfect for game night!) and two living areas with a fireplace. The large windows allow in ample amounts of light and the soft furnishings balance out the masculine architecture of the home.
On the top floor you have two bedrooms and a bathroom. The kids bunk room with 4-beds feels like camp with colorful striped blankets, wood bed frames and natural material details like leather pulls on the dresser. Next door you have a gorgeous bedroom with two queen beds and tones that make the antique wood details of the space feel even more luxe.

Interior Photography
When it came to this shoot we had a lot of ground to cover. Essentially the home is two homes with a second kitchen and laundry room plus a total of 5 bedrooms and 3 living spaces. Each room would need at least one wide shot, and my suggestion is always to have more photos of the most used spaces–Kitchen, living area, primary bedroom.
We started by going room to room to get a wide shot of the space that tells the full story of the room. These photos are often the most labor intensive since I take multiple exposure shots with lights on and off to hand edit together in photoshop during post (I don’t use the HDR setting in lightroom because it doesn’t adjust the lighting in the ways I want and by doing it by hand I have full control to make the photos look like they do in real life with an extra touch of coziness). Once all the wide shots are taken I go back through with a zoom lens to take the detail shots.
To be honest, this is always my favorite part. I love showcasing the details of home that we might not pay attention to. The artwork or wallpaper on the walls. The fresh flowers places throughout the home. The curated bottles of shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. All these moments feel so intentional and like a special treatment we’re all looking for when it comes to coming home (whether to a rental or our permanent space).

Denver Airbnb Photography
I specialize in two types of photography–Airbnb or rental photography and Interior Design photography. Both are focused on telling the story of home, which as we know, is my passion. I’m all about showcasing ways to make a space that feels calming and allows us to rest and restore. I’m also all about building intentional spaces and I find that by photographing interior spaces I not only get more ideas but learn more about the importance of the details around us. Spaces that welcome us in, inspire, and give us the breathing room to rest will do more for our personal health than anything else. I’ve seen it first hand when we welcome guests into our own home and they share how grounding coming to our home is for them. That’s what we’re all looking for. Our own place to land to get grounded so we can go back out and have adventures, build businesses, or simply do the day-to-day things involved in living.
My Denver Airbnb photography focuses on telling the story of home with an emphasis on all things cozy and restful. Who wouldn’t want to rent a space that focuses on those aspects of life?
