We Are Going to Graceland
Story Behind The Art
Fall | Dawn | Midwest River and Bridge
Autumn arrives as a woman stands beside a midwestern river at sunrise, with a bridge arching overhead in this transitional fall landscape painting. The changing seasons bring warm orange and gold tones to this gouache painting that bridges summer's end and autumn's beginning. This scene celebrates the waterways and public spaces throughout America's heartland—the often-overlooked lands that connect us, sustain us, and remind us that grace can be found in every region of this diverse country. It's flowing waters a reminder of the way creative energy flows through us, building into creative rebellion.
Title of this Piece is based off the song: Graceland by Paul Simon
Care
To ensure the longevity of your piece please frame right away. Natural light and exposure to air or water are the enemy of artwork. A glass frame (as opposed to plastic) is always preferred. Choose a spot on the wall out of direct sunlight. For original artworks I always suggest having them framed by a professional framer for a sealed back that further portects your artwork.
