Introducing
Katie Jackson
I believe creativity is medicine. Not metaphorically. LITERALLY.

Art, story, and the occasional reminder that you are not lost, you are becoming
It comes from the soul
In Japan, when a temple needs repair they follow a strict rule, only touch what absolutely must be changed, and preserve everything else. The belief is that soul lives in what has been kept. That age and intention and human hands leave something behind that can’t be replicated. I think about this often. Because I think the same is true for our homes.
I’m Katie—mother artist and the woman behind Modern Magic.
I make art that carries something. Painted by hand, rooted in story and symbol, made with the belief that what hangs on your walls works on you every single day; Whether you’re paying attention or not. A painting that holds story is a daily dose of medicine you don’t have to remember to take.
Modern Magic is for the woman who wants her home to hold her.
Not just look good. Actually hold her. The art on your walls, the workshops where you remember you were born creative, the source sessions where you find your way back to yourself — it’s all the same medicine in different doses.
There’s something here for where you are right now, let me help you find it.
