Story Behind The Art
A loose, colorful gouache painting of the Rocky Mountains, inspired by Cézanne's approach to landscape.
We learn very early that getting it right means getting it exact. That accuracy is the measure of skill. That the goal, in art as in life, is to reproduce what is in front of us as faithfully as possible.
This painting was made by letting go of all of that. Instead of trying to prove I saw the mountain, I wanted to remember how it felt.
There is something quietly liberating about living with a piece like this. A daily reminder that control is not the same as mastery, and that the loose stroke, blurred edge, and bleeding color aren't mistakes. They're where the life gets in.

Care
To ensure the longevity of your piece please frame right away. Natural light and exposure to air or water are the enemy of artwork. A glass frame (as opposed to plastic) is always preferred. Choose a spot on the wall out of direct sunlight. For original artworks I always suggest having them framed by a professional framer for a sealed back that further portects your artwork.
Shipping
Shipping is calculated at checkout. All prints are made to order and will be shipped to me first for product inspection and then shipped to you. Expect delivery between 7-10 day. Originals will be safely packaged and provided extra insurance to ensure they arrive to you safely. Expect 7-10 days for delivery.
Shipped with a backboard, wrapped in a plastic sleeve, and encased in a stiff envelope or in a tube to ensure that it gets safely to your doorstep. Prints + original are on archival acid free paper.

Canvas Prints
