Story Behind The Art
A mixed media landscape made with ink, gouache, and soft pastel, Boundaries began with an experiment in letting water create its own edges.
I poured water onto the paper and allowed it to make its own boundaries. Then I layered ink over the top and let it move freely.
The result became a meditation on the relationship between flow and containment.
Water needs boundaries in order to flow. So does creativity. So does a sense of self.
Look closely and you'll notice elements of the landscape crossing over the boundaries of the free-flowing ink, as if they need to take up more space.
As adults, we get to ask which boundaries were made to keep us safe, and which ones have begun to cage us.
Some can be reshaped. Some can be released.
Care
To ensure the longevity of your piece please frame right away. Natural light and exposure to air or water are the enemy of artwork. A glass frame (as opposed to plastic) is always preferred. Choose a spot on the wall out of direct sunlight. For original artworks I always suggest having them framed by a professional framer for a sealed back that further portects your artwork.
Shipping
Shipping is calculated at checkout. All prints are made to order and will be shipped to me first for product inspection and then shipped to you. Expect delivery between 7-10 day. Originals will be safely packaged and provided extra insurance to ensure they arrive to you safely. Expect 7-10 days for delivery.
Shipped with a backboard, wrapped in a plastic sleeve, and encased in a stiff envelope or in a tube to ensure that it gets safely to your doorstep. Prints + original are on archival acid free paper.

Canvas Prints
Prints can also be made on canvas. Send me a note to get a quote on a canvas print order. Just tell me the size you're looking at and any other requirements you have (like depth or style of canvas if you know that info).
