This 2-hour creative retreat is an invitation to remember.
In a group of like-minded (and also nervous) women, you'll connect, hear stories, paint and be renewed. Through my favorite myths we'll learn about the creative process. Through laughter you'll shake loose what's been stuck inside you. Through creating you'll heal something inside of you.

A magical night of creativity

Hosted inside the Yetman Farm's beautiful greenhouse, this 2-hour workshop invites you to rest, recharge, and create.
DETAILS FOR YOUR EVENT:
- 2-hour of painting at Yetman Farms
- All professional-grade painting supplies provided
- 5x7 watercolor paper
- Explore everyday objects through gouache
- 1:1 guidence the entire way
- All are welcome, Ages 15+
These workshops are limited to 12 guests to ensure that 1:1 attention can be given and to allow ample space within the greenhouse. Food and drink is not provided but you are more than welcome to bring some for your self or to share.

These workshops are also a meaningful way to mark life’s sacred transitions. Come celebrate a bride-to-be with a slow, laughter-filled afternoon of painting as an alternative bachelorette party. Honor a daughter stepping into womanhood with a gentle, guided creative experience. Or gift a new mom the sweetest kind of time—two quiet hours to remember herself as more than what she gives.
There’s no pressure to create a masterpiece. You may walk away with a painting you proudly hang on your wall, or one that reminds you to try again. Either way, you’ll leave with something deeper: a spark, a memory, a reconnection to your creative fire, and new tools to keep it going.

Frequently asked questions
How much is the workshop?
Workshops are $95/person. This covers the cost of the professional grade materials as well as the rental cost for the space. I also offer Private workshops for you and your community–Think bachelorette parties, birthday parties, retirement celebrations and more!
Do you offer scholarships?
Yes! I want Modern Magic workshops to be accessible and open to all who need to calm their nervous system and get back to their creative selves! If you can’t afford the price or want to nominate someone for a scholarship, just emailhello@shopmodernmagic.com
What should i wear?
Gouache paints are a water based paint, which means the wash out of clothes. So wear anything that’s comfortable and makes you feel confident!
Workshops in the greenhouse: Be sure to wear layers as the temperature can change. Also bug spray in summer and fall months is never a bad idea!
Is there food and drink provided?
No. Adding food and drink will significantly increase the cost of the workshop and often leave leftovers that just have to be thrown out. Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks (extras to share, if you’d like)Be sure to have a lid on your drink so you don’t accidentally use it as a water cup!
Do you offer private events?
Yes! I love hosting private events. If you need a location, The Seam is one of my favorites or we can work in ether a space of your choosing (me and my little wagon of art supplies can go almost anywhere!)
