You might have read that title and thought…”Slow down? Are you kidding me? I have a business to build!” And like every other woman that wears too many hats to count I get it. I also get burnout, frustration, and not being able to take your business to the next level, all of which come from trying to do it all.
My passion for slowing down stems from a deep desire to stay healthy and to help those around me (yourself included!) to be healthy too. I’m also very aware that if we don’t take care of ourselves now, life will force us to take care of ourselves later, and it’s a much more intensive recovery process. Which is why I’ve taken the standpoint to do marketing and business a little bit differently–with balance + boundaries.

By choosing to do things with intention, asking questions, and setting clear and final boundaries I’m setting my business up for success for the long run. I might miss out on a couple of things in the here and now, but I’ll be thanking myself later for these choices. These boundaries allow me the space to align with my values and create a life and business with more meaning but they also give me back time in my day–the very thing we’re all searching for.
In a recent podcast interview with Troy from the 8-Hour Grind, we go deep into the idea of simplifying marketing and finding work-life balance (I’ve even updated my work-life balance guide for you!) In this podcast we talk about my time away from social media, small ways to add more self-care into your life, creating your own boundaries, and 22 “this or that” questions that might reveal way too much personal information about me.
