We looked through the trees every day waiting to spot one. Asking the locals how we could possibly see one of these magical birds. We were told they came out one time a day for about and hour and to listen for their call. So we waited, hoping that we’d hear that broken wheel of a sound. Finally, on our last night in the rainforest we heard in the distance, and sure enough in the trees were a group of toucans, their hooked beaks in a fiery red saying goodbye to us before our trek home.

This is a print of a gouache painting by Katie Leigh Jackson (Hutt).

Printed with Canon Pro-200 on Acid free paper. All prints are made to order to enhance my efforts of being more sustainable. Shipped with a backboard, wrapped in a compostable plastic sleeve, and encased in a stiff envelope to ensure that it gets safely to your doorstep.
