Not everyone gets engagement photos, and really until that last 20 years, they weren’t even a requirement when it came to wedding planning. Most likely, it was wedding photographers looking for a way to expand their packages and now it’s a thing. But for me, they are the very best part of the whole wedding process.
Here’s why:
There are a million amazing things that will happen on your wedding day. Hours upon hours of seeing your entire family and all your friends. You’ll wear a dress that you’ve dreamt of and enjoy the food and drinks you’ve spent months planning. You’ll dance the night away and cry over toasts that light your heart on fire. What you won’t have is time. The day moves so fast, in a blink of an eye, it will be over. The fastest part of the day? Your portrait session with your new husband right after the ceremony.
For me, these photos we the most important so we went over the usually allotted 15-minutes and to this day my Dad gives me a hard time of how long people had to wait before they could eat. But those photos mattered the most to me.
Instead of feeling rushed on your wedding day, have the time to dedicate with your betrothed in an environment that fits your love story.
Whether in your backyard, in the city or on top of a mountain (my personal favorite) we’ll spend up to two hours making you feel confident in front of the camera and walking you through your personal love story. With questions about how you met, how you fell in love and prompts that will have you laughing, flirting and falling in love all over again.
A dedicated engagement shoot with me means having a photoshoot date you’ll never along with the photos of your dreams that will have all your friends jealous.
And the bonus? You’ll have photos to use on save the dates, invites, Christmas cards and to have hung on your walls for the rest of your life. That’s the power of an engagement shoot.
